Costa Cruises has co-financed various projects for the construction of port terminals, to offer more services to its passengers, and to facilitate their embarkation on board the ships in the fleet. The first terminal (in order of construction) is the Palacrociere of Savona, which opened in November 2003 and designed by architect Ricardo Bofill. The property is spread over three floors and has a surface of 8400 m².
In Spain, in 2007, Costa Cruises inaugurated the Palacrociere of Barcelona, this time entirely funded by the company. A new terminal will be opened in China, in Tianjin, in 2010: an area of 59000m², this terminal has a reception capacity of 4,000 passengers. In 2013 Costa has opened a second Palacrociere terminal of Savona.
